Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website and services operated by ISKCON Dublin (“we”, “our”, or “us”) at https://iskcondublin.com and any related applications (collectively, the “Platform”).

By creating an account or using the Platform, you confirm that you are at least 16 years of age, that you have read and understood these Terms, and that you agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

2. Your Account

To access certain features of the Platform — including making donations, purchasing event tickets, logging volunteer hours, and participating in the community — you must register for an account.

  • You must provide accurate and complete information when registering and keep it up to date.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • You must notify us immediately at info@iskcondublin.com if you suspect any unauthorised access to your account.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or are inactive for an extended period.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Platform only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with the values of the ISKCON community. You must not:

  • Post, upload, or transmit content that is unlawful, harmful, defamatory, obscene, abusive, or otherwise objectionable.
  • Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
  • Use the Platform to spam, harass, or solicit other users.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform or its underlying infrastructure.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Platform.
  • Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the Platform without our express written permission.
  • Use the Platform in any way that could bring ISKCON Dublin or ISKCON into disrepute.

4. Community Content

The Platform allows users to post comments, praises, profile information, and seva logs (“User Content”). By submitting User Content, you:

  • Confirm that you own or have the necessary rights to the content.
  • Grant ISKCON Dublin a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and use the content on the Platform.
  • Accept that your public profile and seva contributions may be visible to other users, subject to your privacy settings.

We reserve the right to moderate, edit, or remove any User Content at our discretion, including content that violates these Terms or our community standards.

5. Donations

All donations made through the Platform are voluntary contributions to ISKCON Dublin. Please note:

  • Donations are processed securely by Square. We do not store payment card details.
  • All donations are in Euros (EUR) unless otherwise stated.
  • Donations are generally non-refundable except in cases of error or fraud. Refund requests should be directed to info@iskcondublin.com.
  • We will issue a donation receipt by email. Please retain it for your records.
  • Tax reliefs (e.g., CHY status relief under Irish tax law) may be available on qualifying donations. We recommend consulting a tax adviser for your specific circumstances.

6. Event Tickets

  • Ticket purchases are final. Refunds are only available if an event is cancelled or significantly altered by ISKCON Dublin.
  • Tickets are personal to the named attendee and may not be resold or transferred without our consent.
  • We reserve the right to refuse entry to any person behaving in a manner that is disruptive or contrary to the spirit of the event.

7. Volunteer Service (Seva)

The seva logging feature allows members to record their volunteer contributions. Seva entries are subject to review and approval by authorised administrators. Approved hours are displayed on your public profile. We reserve the right to reject entries that do not meet the criteria or appear inaccurate.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on the Platform created by ISKCON Dublin — including text, images, logos, graphics, and software — is the property of ISKCON Dublin or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from such content without our express written permission.

9. Third-Party Services

The Platform integrates with third-party services including Google (authentication and analytics) and Square (payment processing). Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party providers.

10. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The Platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. While we take reasonable care to ensure the Platform operates reliably, we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses or other harmful components.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, ISKCON Dublinshall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the Platform. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in harmful conduct, or if required to do so by law. You may delete your account at any time from your Account Settings. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform will immediately cease.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email or by a prominent notice on the Platform. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated accordingly. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ireland. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ireland. If you are a consumer, you may also have rights under the laws of your country of residence.
